Mobile App — iOS & Android

Field workers stay connected without a laptop

What is Mobile App — iOS & Android?

Most construction management software was built for the office. InfraPro's mobile app was built for the site. It's a full-featured React Native application for Android and iOS, designed specifically for the conditions that African construction field teams work in: variable connectivity, time pressure, non-technical users, and the need to capture accurate data from remote locations. With 30+ screens covering every key workflow, it puts the entire InfraPro platform in the pocket of every team member — from the general labourer checking in for the day to the CEO approving a major disbursement.

The app is designed around roles. A field worker sees expense request forms, GPS check-in, daily safety updates, and leave requests. A site manager sees team attendance, progress inputs, pending approvals, and budget status. A safety officer sees JHA submissions, toolbox talk registers, and work permit requests. An executive sees the portfolio dashboard, budget burn rates, and approval queues — all from their phone. Each user sees only what is relevant to their role, keeping the interface simple and fast to use.

Offline capability is built in for all critical workflows. In areas with poor or no mobile signal — which covers a significant portion of rural African construction sites — the app stores all inputs locally and syncs automatically when connectivity is restored. No data is lost, no workflow is broken, and field teams are never blocked from doing their jobs because of signal.

  • Expense requests & multi-step approvals
  • GPS attendance check-in & check-out
  • Safety reports (JHA, toolbox, daily updates)
  • Project budget & progress visibility
  • Leave requests & approvals

Everything Included in Mobile App — iOS & Android

GPS Attendance Check-In / Check-Out

Workers check in and out of sites with GPS location verification. Attendance records are timestamped and fed into payroll automatically. Late and absent workers are flagged to managers.

Expense Request Submission

Submit expense requests with amount, category, description, and photo receipt. Requests enter the approval workflow immediately and can be tracked in real time.

Multi-Step Approval Workflows

Managers receive push notifications for pending approvals and can approve, reject, or query expense requests, leave applications, and safety documents directly from the app.

Daily Safety Updates

Submit daily safety observations, near-miss reports, and toolbox talk confirmations from mobile. Offline storage with automatic sync on connectivity restoration.

JHA & Work Permit Submission

Complete and submit Job Hazard Analysis forms and work permit requests from the field — with offline capability and photo attachments for site-specific hazard documentation.

Project Progress & Budget Dashboard

Field managers and executives see live project completion percentages, budget burn rates, and team attendance summaries from the app home screen.

Leave Request & Approval

Employees submit leave requests from mobile with leave type, dates, and reason. Line managers approve or reject with a comment. Leave balances are updated automatically.

Material Request & Issuance

Field teams request materials from store via mobile. Storekeepers process issuances and record deliveries. All material movements update inventory in real time.

Notifications & Alerts

Real-time push notifications for pending approvals, overdue reports, safety alerts, payslip availability, and project status changes. Configurable per user role.

Offline Mode

All forms — attendance, expense requests, safety reports, progress updates — work offline. Data is stored locally and synced automatically when signal returns.

Why Teams Choose This Module

Data from the Field, Not the Office

When field staff capture data on site — not when they return to the office or when the paperwork is eventually filed — you get accurate, timely information that actually drives decisions.

Approvals That Happen the Same Day

Mobile push notifications mean managers approve expense requests and leave applications within hours, not days. Field teams aren't waiting for someone to open their email.

Works Where Other Apps Don't

Offline-first design means the app keeps working in rural areas with no signal. No failed submissions, no lost data, no frustrated field teams.

Simple Enough for Non-Technical Users

Designed for construction field workers, not tech professionals. Large buttons, simple forms, minimal text — usable by anyone who can operate a basic Android phone.

How Different Industries Use This

Field crews check in at remote rural sites with GPS verification, submit daily pole installation progress and safety updates from the field, and get material issuances confirmed in real time.

Splicing teams and civil crews submit daily progress updates from the route, safety officers conduct mobile JHAs at each site, and project managers track team locations across multiple route sections.

Daily workforce attendance, plant operator logs, quantity surveyor field measurements, and site manager progress reports all captured on mobile — eliminating the paper-based site diary.

Common Questions About Mobile App — iOS & Android

Is the app available on both Android and iOS?
Yes. InfraPro's mobile app is built with React Native and Expo 54, providing a single codebase that runs natively on both Android and iOS. It is available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
Does the app work without internet access?
Yes. The app is built offline-first. GPS check-ins, expense requests, safety reports, and progress updates are all stored locally when there's no signal and automatically synced to the server when connectivity is restored.
What Android version is required?
The InfraPro mobile app supports Android 8.0 (Oreo) and above, covering the vast majority of Android devices available in the African market. For iOS, it requires iOS 13 or above.
Can different team members see different things in the app?
Yes. The app displays different screens and information based on the user's role. Field workers see their attendance, expense, and safety tools. Site managers see team dashboards and approval queues. Executives see the portfolio and financial dashboards. Each user only accesses information relevant to their role.
